Permute: A Fun and Quirky Text Permutation Extension for Chrome
Permute is a free Chrome extension developed by Xan that adds a playful twist to your browsing experience. This add-on falls under the Browsers category, specifically in the Add-ons & Tools subcategory.
Permute randomly permutes all the text on the current page, preserving some semblance of sense. It reverses the order of some letters in each word, while keeping the first and last letters intact. This creates a unique and distorted version of the text. Words are permuted in a consistent fashion, meaning the same word will produce the same output every time it runs.
Please note that Permute only works with Latin and Cyrillic alphabets at the moment. Unfortunately, it doesn't work on Web Store pages.
Version 2.0 of Permute introduces a new context menu user interface, making it even easier to access and use.
